DMCS had a successful event hosted by the Rutgers Alumni Association on December 4th. The event included tours of the marine science building, preview trailers of three upcoming science story-telling videos, and a showing of the Atlantic Crossing documentary on the 15th anniversary since the Scarlet Knight robot was recovered off the coast of Spain after crossing the Atlantic ocean. The festive event was supported by Don and Penny Pray who generously provided support as well as oodles of “sweat equity” helping herding all the cats! The event highlighted recent science story telling efforts https://storytelling.marine.rutgers.edu/. The video stories were complemented by Rutgers undergraduates highlighting the upcoming Sentinel mission where they will navigate a novel new robot around the world starting in 2025. A great event celebrating lots of great marine science!
