Short Bio:
I grew up in South Plainfield, NJ, and graduated from Rutgers in 2025 with my BS in Marine Science and minor in Fisheries. I always loved the ocean, but growing up I never considered pursuing it as a career. That changed when I took the Topics in Marine Science course here at Rutgers. I learned about the challenges facing our oceans and the vital role that science plays in addressing these issues. Ever since that class, my goal has been to play an active role in contributing to ocean science and protecting the ocean for future generations.
My particular interest is in global overturning circulation, especially the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, and understanding how potential changes in it will affect our climate systems. There is still much to be understood about these systems, and I hope to contribute to changing that, whether it is through actively researching it or helping develop the tools that make doing so possible. The MOO program’s emphasis on technical skills, ocean dynamics, and innovative technologies such as gliders will help me build the knowledge and experience needed to turn my goal into reality.
