RUCOOL is one of the most visited facilities at Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS). In 2025 RUCOOL hosted ~600 visitors in the laboratory and another 423 visitors onboard the RV Rutgers. Beyond hosting internally, the group is actively engaged in maintaining an active social media presence, formal communication with donors/supporters, and has a significant presence in the news media. For example, the October 2025 launch of the Sentinel glider was published by 368 R-Comm documented international newspapers and magazines. The team has produced videos and movies (see marine contributions at https://storytellinglab.rutgers.edu/) that serve as a model for broader engagement.
