The ocean is complex and difficult sample. Our team has spent the last two decades innovating new approaches for sampling the ocean. Our approach is use a range of technologies from satellites, radars, and undersea robots. The observational data is complemented with numerical models. The coupled observational and modeling networks will provide a critical tool to better understand the ocean. Our group has focused on using these technologies to better understand the state of the ocean today and its trajectory into the future.
