I grew up in Shenzhen, a coastal city in China. I studied Marine Technology at Nanjing University of Information Engineering in China for my bachelor degree. After graduated, I had worked as a Marine Database Engineer in Tsinghua University and had project experience in Remote Sensing and Marine Modeling. A year later, I went to work as a research assistant at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, mainly focused on the Coastal Water Quality project, which is to measure marine water quality parameters in Hong Kong and its adjacent waters.
I have a broad interest in studying the technologies which observing ocean in different spatial and temporal dimensions. According to my past experience, remote sensing can know the past, while ocean models can predict the future. This is very attractive to me.
