My current research focuses involve the maintenance and routine care of our Slocum electric glider fleet. We use these autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) in an effort to monitor the coastal oceans around the world. I participate in field operations involving the deployment and recovery of gliders as well as commanding and controlling this worldwide fleet of ocean observing platforms. In addition, I help with various public outreach and education events, including lab tours and presentations on the Coastal Ocean Observation Lab specifically highlighting the Slocum glider.
