Education:
Mr. Handel has completed introductory training in the Theory and Operation of dual-use HF Radar Equipment from Codar Ocean Sensors, Inc. Mr. Handel holds a B.S. in Ecology and Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Science.

Research Interests:
Ethan M. Handel is a Research Project Assistant and Marine Field Technician with the Coastal Ocean Observation Laboratory. His current work is focused on the maintenance and improvement of the Mid-Atlantic High Frequency Radar Network. He is working on adding new sites along the coast to increase regional coverage, as well as working to increase the resiliency of the existing network. Mr. Handel has also been involved with the operation and maintenance of the Rutgers' underwater glider research AUV fleet, participating in numerous deployments in the North Atlantic, Caribbean, and Mediterranean.
