Mid-Atlantic Bight - National Undersea Research Center (MAB-NURC)
NOAA's
Undersea Research Center for the Middle Atlantic Bight region (MAB)
seeks to understand the processes governing change and stability at
spatial and temporal scales not obtainable with conventional
oceanographic techniques. Since its creation in 1992, the Center has
focused on establishing Long-term Ecosystem Observatories (LEO's) that
enable multi-disciplinary science using in situ observations and
manipulations. At LEO-15, scuba and seafloor observatory studies have
described recruitment of fish and benthic invertebrates, and the
effects of waves and currents on sediment and pollutant transport,
seafloor characteristics, and benthic community dynamics. |

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
NASA
Headquarters, located in Washington, D.C., exercises management over
the space flight centers, research centers, and other installations
that constitute NASA. Responsibilities of Headquarters cover the
determination of programs and projects; establishment of management
policies, procedures, and performance criteria; evaluation of progress;
and the review and analysis of all phases of the aerospace program. |

New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)
New
Jersey became the third state in the country to consolidate its past
programs into a unified major agency to administer aggressive
environmental protection and conservation efforts. This agency became
known as NJDEP. It began its role to manage natural resources and solve
pollution problems. Now it is a leader in the country for its pollution
prevention efforts and innovative environmental management strategies. |
|
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT)
It is the mission of the New Jersey Department of Transportation to
provide reliable, environmentally and socially responsible
transportation and motor vehicle networks and services to support and
improve the safety and mobility of people and goods in New Jersey.

State of New Jersey
New Jersey Department of Treasury, Office of Management & Budget (OMB)
Office
of Management and Budget ensures modern, effective and efficient
governmental operations, both among state departments and within its
own operations, providing strategic direction and financing
alternatives to guide the prudent allocation of limited resources
within the policy framework set by the Governor and accurately
implementing and reflecting the results of those decisions and
subsequent financial transactions in the State budget, in the State
Accounting System, and in the State's Comprehensive Annual Financial
Report. It also assesses budget needs, based on studies of State fiscal
requirements and on official requests for appropriations by State
departments, and formulates the annual budget submitted by the Governor
to the Legislature.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP)
The
Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) advises and assists
members of the Rutgers Community who are engaged in scholarly and
creative activities. ORSP provides information, services and support
above and beyond what is available from traditional departmental
sources, so that members of the Rutgers Community may in times of need
and opportunity compete successfully for outside funding to conduct
scientific research, write books and articles, improve their
performance in the classroom, and better serve their students, their
professions and the public. ORSP ensures accountability, compliance and
stewardship for sponsored programs as directed by the values of the
office and by all applicable Federal, State, and University policies,
procedures and regulations. |
